Skate with a group of friends that motivate you and keep you motivated! Check your attitude and be thankful for what you get. If a sponsor decides they want you on their team, you'll probably get flowed some stuff and the Team Manager will take a step back and watch how you develop and represent the brand.

Get known in the industry. Enter contests. Skate with photographers who are getting published in skate magazines. It's the best way to get coverage. Team Managers are looking for riders who are getting coverage, not just riders who can skate. TM's want to see how you act with people in the industry, and they want to see how they react to you. |

If you'd like to submit your own tape, check into the companies you're interested in, and find out who you need to send your tape to. You should also include a skateboarding resume highlighting published photos, video parts, contest placings etc., or include this in your tape. Team managers are looking for skaters with talent and who are out there getting recognition. Make sure your sponsor me tapes include your slams. TM's want to see it all. Don't forget to put your contact info on your tape/resume. Include any published photos you may have.
